I am a Hip Arthroscopy Surgeon and a consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and I work at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry, Shropshire. Thank you for visiting my website.
I specialise in children’s orthopaedics and young adult hip disorders.
Hip Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure in which an examination and sometimes treatment of damage of the interior of a hip joint is performed using an arthroscope, a type of endoscope that is inserted into the hip joint through a small incision.
Within children’s orthopaedics I am interested in hip disorders, clubfoot, limb deformity and neuromuscular disorders.
I treat young adult hip disorders including impingement, shallow hips ( dysplasia) and early arthritis. I undertake keyhole hip surgery ( hip arthroscopy) and surgery to realign the hip socket (triple pelvic osteotomy ).
Labral Tear can be seen in association with episodes of hip dislocation or subluxation. They are commonly associated with sudden, twisting maneuvers that cause immediate pain in the hip.
Hip Impingement syndrome is a condition affecting the hip joint
